28815 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Health: How many jobs broken down by job titles and region, if any, have been disestablished in the Minister’s Departments, if any, from the previous financial year ?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that these decisions are the responsibility of the relevant Chief Executive. The Ministry of Health has advised me that the following 8 positions were disestablished in October 2023 as part of the Ministry’s phase 1 organisational changes: DDG Health System Improvement and Innovation DDG DHB System Performance and Monitoring and DCE Sector Support and Infrastructure DDG Population Health and Prevention Manager Office of the DDG – Regulatory Services Manager Office of the DDG – System Performance and Monitoring Senior Executive Assistant – Regulatory Services Senior Executive Assistant – System Performance and Monitoring Manager Office of the Chief Clinical Officers At the same time, in October 2023, 6 new positions were established: DDG Regulation and Monitoring DDG Clinical, Community and Mental Health Manager Office of the DDG – Regulation and Monitoring Manager Office of the DDG – Clinical, Community and Mental Health Senior Executive Assistant – Regulation and Monitoring Senior Executive Assistant – Clinical, Community and Mental Health All of these positions were based in Wellington.
