28814 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Health: How many jobs broken down by job titles and region, if any, have been deliberately left unfilled in the Minister’s departments, if any, from the previous financial year ?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I refer the Member to the attached table for the positions which remained vacant at the Ministry of Health (the Ministry) between 30 June 2023 and 31 May 2024. There were 27 vacancies in total. I am advised that the Ministry has been unable to determine which of these vacancies were deliberately left unfilled. I am advised that the Ministry paused all permanent recruitment from the end of December 2023 which will have contributed to the above vacancies remaining unfilled.
