28798 (2023). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Education: What actions, if any, does the Minister intend to take to progress expanding the National Monitoring Study of Student Achievement (NMSSA) study to sample all year groups for reading, writing, maths, and science annually, to monitor progress towards the target of 80% of Year 8 students being at curriculum by 2030, as outlined in the National Party’s ‘Teaching the Basics Brilliantly Policy Document?’

Hon Erica Stanford: The member can find my policy objectives for this term in the Speech from the Throne and the National Party Manifesto and agreements between the National Party and its coalition partners. I have received briefings from the Ministry of Education on the education portfolio and I am looking forward to receiving further briefings from officials.
