Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Education: Does the Minister intend to progress requiring primary and intermediate teaching graduates to pass an exit exam demonstrating expertise in reading, writing, maths, and science teaching in order to register as a teacher, as outlined in the National Party’s ‘Teaching the Basics Brilliantly Policy Document,’ and if not, why not?
