28786 (2026). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: Further to his answer to written question 20419 (2026): what records, if any, of the phone call between Haley Mortimer and his Chief of Staff in 2025 were made?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: I am advised Haley Mortimer indicated Z-Energy’s interest in the Smith vs Fonterra litigation. The Chief of Staff indicated he was aware of the issue but wasn’t aware of where it was at. He forwarded the email from Haley Mortimer to the Senior Ministerial Advisor in Hon Goldsmith’s Office.
