28776 (2025). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Health: Further to WPQ 22819 (2025) Is any monitoring in place for children who have been removed from the waitlist, if any, from the dental waitlist in Taranaki to ensure their dental health needs have been addressed?

Hon Simeon Brown: As I said in Written Parliamentary Question 22819 (2025), I am advised that there has been a 27 per cent reduction in the number of children waitlisted for dental services in Taranaki since November 2023. I am further advised that monitoring is in place through Health New Zealand Taranaki’s Community Oral Health Service as part of our focus on putting patients first and ensuring all New Zealanders have access to timely, quality healthcare.
