28736 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Transport: How many jobs broken down by job titles and region, if any, are planned to be disestablished in the Minister’s Departments, if any, over the next twelve months ?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the Ministry has no plans to disestablish any roles over the next 12 months. The Ministry of Transport has not had significant job losses impacting ministerial work priorities. The Civil Aviation Authority is reviewing the current state to guide and understand any changes needed to support the implementation of the new Civil Aviation Act in April 2025. The review outcomes will be used alongside the governments directives and other considerations to guide any change needed to our systems, practices, or structures. At this stage there are no role impacts. For NZTA, refer to the attached table.
