28708 (2026). Steve Abel to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: Are negotiations between New Zealand and the United States regarding a framework for critical minerals still ongoing, if so, how regularly are engagements occurring?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: Yes. An updated version of the non-binding Framework text was shared with the US in May for consideration. We are awaiting US feedback on the text.
