28574 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Land Information: How many jobs broken down by job titles and region, if any, are planned to be established in the Minister’s Departments, if any, over the next twelve months ?
Hon Chris Penk: Following the implementation of Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand's (LINZ) organisational change programme, Organising Ourselves, the organisation moved to use broad-based roles. This enables LINZ to be a more agile and customer centric organisation that can respond to changing expectations when required. As part of its ongoing operating and fiscal review, LINZ is continuing to review areas where work has been scaled back and roles need to be reprioritised. For some of these roles, the new broad-based role may be the same as a current role, however the skillset required could be different. LINZ has two roles confirmed, and four roles proposed, to be established over the next 12 months. LINZ has offices in Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch and any planned established roles would be in one of these three regions. Please refer to the attached table for a list of roles.
