28489 (2023). Hon Dr Deborah Russell to the Minister of Revenue: Does the Minister intend to “establish a tax-free threshold of $14,000 by 1 April 2027…” as found on page 25 of the 2023 New Zealand First Party manifesto, and if so, what advice, reports, briefings, aide memoires, or any other documents has the Minister, or any member of their Office received during the week of 27 November 2023, on this by title and date?

Hon Simon Watts: The Government’s policy programme and priorities are set out in the Speech from the Throne and the coalition documents. I am currently seeking advice on a range of these items from officials. Decisions taken to progress the Government’s policy programme and priorities, including decisions about agency funding , will be announced in due course. Advice and modelling officials provide to support these decisions will be proactively released as part of a proactive release process.
