28459 (2025). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 26 May 2025, listed by agency, title and date received?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I received the following documents from
26 May -1 June 2025 from my officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC):
• Deputy Prime Minister appointment ceremony – 31 May 2025, 26 May 2025
• Conflicts of interest report: May 2025, 27 May 2025
• Dashboards Update and Forward Plan, 29 May 2025
• Government Targets Fact Sheets for Ministerial Consultation - Quarter ending March 2025, 30 May 2025
• Prime Minister’s weekly brief, 30 May 2025.
I also received four documents in the specified timeframe however, it is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents.
In addition, jointly with the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I have received the following document: North Island Weather Events: Monthly Progress Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, Infrastructure and Local Transport Projects, 28 May 2025.
I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings.
Furthermore, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
