28450 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister for the Public Service and Digitising Government: What assurances does he have that data sovereignty and privacy protections are enforceable, given that relevant suppliers of AI tools are offshore companies operating under contractual terms only?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that suppliers of AI tools operating under GDDA All of Government contracts are expected to comply with the terms of those contracts. Contracts are legally enforceable in the jurisdiction they are agreed within.
