Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Corrections allows Copilot Chat to support general, non‑sensitive content creation and productivity. This may include supportive tasks such as summarising or improving writing, getting answers to general questions, generating ideas or drafting content for documents or presentations, and searching for information to support their work. I am further advised that Copilot Chat does not have automatic access to emails or Corrections’ Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files and operates as a standalone function, with no integration into Corrections’ system data. I am assured, and it is my expectation, that AI tools, including Copilot Chat, are not to be used for decision-making or for handling personal data.
