Hon Nicola Willis: The Treasury's Microsoft Copilot licences are being used to support general productivity tasks. These include activities such as drafting and editing documents, summarising information, assisting with meeting preparation and minutes, and supporting coding and research tasks that improve the efficiency of modelling and analysis work. Where Copilot is used to support the Treasury’s analysis, outputs are subject to the usual quality assurance and responsibility for advice provided to Ministers remains with Treasury officials. For example, when Copilot is used to support coding or research that feeds into modelling and analysis, outputs remain subject to our robust quality assurance processes, ensuring that formal analytical and advisory work continues to meet the Treasury's standards.
