28364 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: As at 1 June 2025, what regional disparities, if any, are there in access to diagnostic tests such as CA-125 blood tests and ultrasounds for ovarian cancer?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that as at 1 June 2025, CA-125 testing is available and funded nationwide on request by general practitioners or hospital doctors as part of our focus on putting patients first and ensuring all New Zealanders have access to timely, quality healthcare. I am further advised that pelvic ultrasounds are available through community-referred radiology programmes throughout New Zealand. I refer the Member to Written Parliamentary Question 28358 (2025).
