28363 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: As at 1 June 2025, how many, if any, gynecologic oncologists are currently practicing in New Zealand, broken down by location, and how does this compare to the recommended ratio per population?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Health New Zealand currently has 7 Gynaecological Oncology Senior Medical Officers as part of our focus on putting patients first and delivering access to timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders.
