Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that clinicians working within Health New Zealand and its contracted providers undertake education as part of their ongoing professional development. Some of this is incorporated within structured programmes provided in hospital services and general practice groups. While the costs of this education are not summarised at a nationwide level, it reflects our focus on putting patients first and ensuring all New Zealanders have access to timely, quality healthcare.
