28322 (2025). Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What is the reason for not continuing to fund Preventing Family Violence and Sexual Violence: Actioning Te Aorerekura's Prevention Shift?
Hon Louise Upston: I am advised that time-limited funding from Budget 2022 for work on prevention approaches including Ethnic Communities Violence Prevention and Prevention of Abuse of Older People ends on 30 June 2025. We will continue to use the insights from this work to inform future approaches to prevention of family violence. It’s important to note that no one will lose access to existing Family and Sexual Violence services as a result of this prevention funding finishing. It is also important to note that baseline funding also continues for existing prevention initiatives.
