28321 (2025). Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What is the reason for not continuing to fund Accessible Family Violence and Sexual Violence Services for Disabled People?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised that this initiative received time-limited funding from Budget 2023 to support Ministry of Social Development-funded family violence and sexual violence service providers to improve their accessibility for disabled people. Funding is time-limited and ends 30 June 2025. We will continue to use the insights from this work to inform future approaches to improving access to family and sexual violence services for disabled people. It’s important to note that no one will lose access to existing FVSV services as a result of this funding finishing.
