I have received the following advice from the Department of Conservation on Herds of Special Interest: • Briefing to the Incoming Minister of Conservation (Nov 2023) • 23-B-0494: Letter to Prime Minister regarding legislative authorisations for the Hunting and Fishing portfolio (14 Dec 2023) • 23-B-0494: Prioritisation of Conservation and Hunting and Fishing work programme (26 Jan 2024) • 25-M-0014: Meeting with the Minister for Hunting and Fishing • 25-B-0165: Ministerial Consultation: Game Animal Council (Herds of Special Interest) Amendment Bill (HOSI) – Approval for Introduction I have also received copies of certain briefings sent to the Minister for Hunting and Fishing, who is responsible for the administration of the Game Animal Council (GAC) Act, under which HOSI can be established.
