28265 (2025). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Associate Minister for Social Development and Employment: What actions, if any, has the Ministry taken to increase awareness or accessibility of the Transition to Work Grant among eligible applicants since 2020?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The Ministry advertises its employment supports including Transition to Work (TTW) on its public website, and the Connected.govt.nz website. Additionally, since 2020 the Ministry has increased the number of people receiving employment case management, which is a key avenue for clients to be advised about employment products and services. The Ministry also introduced the Korero Mahi seminars, which include promotion of TTW. Lastly, it is standard practice for MSD staff to promote TTW to eligible clients who advise they have secured employment, regardless of if they have a dedicated case manager or not.
