Camilla Belich to the Minister for Children: In how many cases, if any, was a director or member of a board or committee excluded from or absent for more than one-third of agenda items during their tenure at any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, broken down by organisation, role, the proportion of items missed, and the total remuneration paid for the period concerned, as at 10 June 2026?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that providing a response in the requested format would require substantial collation and divert staff from their core duties. In accordance with Speakers’ Ruling 199-3, I consider that the time, and hence expense, of answering this question in the timeframe allowed for written parliamentary questions, is not in the public interest. However, I am not aware of any concerns regarding members of either the Ministerial Advisory Board or the Grievance Panels being excluded from or absent for agenda items since 27 November 2023.
