28231 (2026). Lan Pham to the Minister of Education: Was the Minister planning to allocate $30 million to the 'Drinking Water in Schools Programme' prior to her receiving written questions on the issue of drinking water safety in schools from Green Party Lan Pham MP in February 2026?

Hon Erica Stanford: The capital injection from Budget 2026 into the Safer Drinking Water in Schools programme was as a result of decisions on the Maintenance of the School Property Portfolio Business Case that Cabinet approved in December 2025 included the provision of safe drinking water infrastructure as a key programme in the portfolio. This is also my answer to written parliamentary questions 28234 (2026) and 28235 (2026).
