Hon Penny Simmonds: The Budget 2024 Baseline Savings Exercise was the process by which Ministers submitted potential savings and new revenue proposals for Cabinet consideration at Budget 2024. Savings proposals that were accepted were included in Budget 24 and will be implemented from July 2024. The precise date of implementation varies by proposal. Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) - TEC’s contribution towards the Government’s fiscal targets through Budget 2024 are realisable and effective from 1/7/2024. Education New Zealand will implement the initial baseline savings by 1 July 2024.
