28204 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister for Infrastructure: Further to the reply to question 20908 (2026), does the statement that the information "is not available" mean that the Crown records no costs incurred on business cases, design, and preparatory work for these projects, or that such costs are recorded but not disaggregated by procurement model, and if the latter, what are those recorded costs?
Hon Chris Bishop: The Crown records costs incurred on business cases, design, and preparatory work for these projects, but such costs are unlikely to be able to be disaggregated by the procurement model.
Budget funding towards the delivery of the Rotorua High and District Court and Māori Land Court buildings, but not towards the Waitākere courthouse, was only recently announced and, as such, these costs continued to be incurred. Costs for the design and preparatory work for Phase 1 of the Christchurch Men’s Prison Redevelopment Programme and Section 1 (Warkworth to Te Hana) of the Northland Corridor also continue to be incurred.
