28189 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Associate Minister of Health: Further to WPQ 20208, what actions, if any, will be taken if post-implementation monitoring shows Māori access has declined or complication rates have increased?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised that Pharmac will monitor post-change medicine uptake. I note that no one currently receiving empagliflozin, dulaglutide, or liraglutide for type 2 diabetes would lose access, and the proposed changes would apply to new applications only.
