28188 (2024). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister for Infrastructure: When, if at all, will the Minister consult with Local Government on the 30 year National Infrastructure Plan?

Hon Chris Bishop: I have asked the Infrastructure Commission to provide an independent view on New Zealand's long-term infrastructure needs through the development of its National Infrastructure Plan. In doing so, its legislation requires it to build broad public agreement on the proposed approach. I expect this to include engagement with local government.
