28187 (2025). Hon Peeni Henare to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What future plans does MFAT have to expand or deepen diplomatic, economic, and cultural engagement with India, if any?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has been implementing the Coalition Government's direction to broaden and deepen New Zealand's relationship with India. The Ministry, together with other government agencies, has an extensive work programme across every facet of the relationship, which includes Ministerial engagements, trade and economic connections, defence and security cooperation, and cultural and people-to-people links.
