28116 (2024). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Revenue: What assurances, if any, did he give to the Minister of Finance that all taxpayers will receive the tax cuts from 31 July?

Hon Simon Watts: As the Minister of Finance and I worked together on these changes I was not asked to provide any such assurance. Instead, we sought comfort from Inland Revenue that employers and employees would be provided with the advice they need to give effect to the tax rate changes from 31 July.
