28106 (2024). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Revenue: Which payroll service providers, if any, did Inland Revenue contact prior to 30 May 2024?

Hon Simon Watts: Inland Revenue discussed the manifesto tax plans of ACT and the National Party with a payroll service providers industry group prior to 30 May 2024. This meeting only discussed information that was publicly available at the time. It allowed officials to understand the time needed by payroll service providers to implement tax threshold changes.
