28093 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What steps has the Minister taken to ensure the independence of policy advice from the Health Assurance Unit?

Hon Simeon Brown: As I said in the House on 19 February, the Public Service Commission established the Health Assurance Unit to support our Government's focus on getting health back on track after previous decisions to restructure the health system in the middle of a pandemic. As the Member will be aware, the Public Service Commission currently has responsibility for the Unit.
