28035 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Internal Affairs: How many people, if any, appointed or reappointed by the Minister since 27 November 2023 to any board, committee, or other body of any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible have had a conflict of interest management plan put in place, broken down by organisation, role, the number of interests identified as giving rise to a conflict, and the date the plan was put in place, as at 10 June 2026?
Hon Brooke van Velden: Department of Internal Affairs: In accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 199/6, I do not consider it to be in the public interest to undertake an exercise to identify and collate the material requested, as doing so would require a significant diversion of resources. Classification Office:  Appointments to the positions of Chief Censor and Deputy Chief Censor are made by the Governor-General. Under section 79 of the Films, Videos, and Publications Classification Act 1993, these two positions form the board of the Classification Office for the purposes of the Crown Entities Act 2004. The Classification Office maintains a conflict-of-interest register for the board and all senior staff. No board members were subject to conflict-of-interest management plans due to identified actual conflicts of interest during this period. Any declared potential conflicts are recorded with mitigations, reviewed regularly, and reported annually to the Governance and Administration Committee as part of the Office’s annual review. Lotto NZ:  No Lotto NZ directors or members of a board or committee were subject to a conflict-of-interest management plan during this period. Fire and Emergency New Zealand: In accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 199/6, I do not consider it to be in the public interest to undertake an exercise to identify and collate the material requested, as doing so would require a significant diversion of resources.
