28015 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: What impact assessments have been conducted regarding the effect of the Kāinga Ora job cuts on tenants seeking housing assistance, if any?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that, in respect of changes to resourcing within the Placement teams, modelling was completed, which indicated that there will be sufficient resourcing to service those seeking assistance with housing from the register. There is no change to the Housing Support function from a resourcing perspective so ongoing support and assistance for those already in Kāinga Ora homes remains unchanged.
