28014 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Transport: What feedback, if any, has the Minister received from local communities, iwi, or road users about safety risks on Desert Road?

Hon Chris Bishop: I have not received any feedback directly on the safety of the Desert Road. NZTA is the road controlling authority responsible for the Desert Road and will be the likely recipient of any feedback.
