Camilla Belich to the Minister of Customs: How many agenda items, if any, was each director or member of any board, committee, or other body of any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible excluded from or absent for since 27 November 2023, broken down by organisation, role, whether the director or member was subject to a conflict of interest management plan, the number of items excluded because of a conflict of interest, the number missed for other reasons, and the total number of items the person was present for as a proportion of all agenda items considered during their tenure, as at 10 June 2026?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that since 27 November 2023, the following absences from meetings, including partial absences, have been recorded for members of the Customs’ Assurance and Risk Committee: - One unpaid public servant member was an apology for the December 2023 meeting. - One paid independent member was an apology for part of the April 2024 meeting and missed seven of 13 agenda items - One paid independent member was an apology for the November 2024 meeting. - One paid independent member was an apology for part of the March 2025 meeting and missed seven of 14 agenda items. - One unpaid public servant member was an apology for the May 2026 meeting. No members of the Committee were excluded from agenda items due to a conflict of interest, nor was any member subject to a conflict of interest plan. The Assurance and Risk Committee meets quarterly. I am advised that the attendance of members of the Ministerial Advisory Group on Transnational, Serious and Organised Crime cannot be provided as, due to its purpose and format, the full membership of the group was not required at all meetings.
