Camilla Belich to the Minister of Corrections: How many agenda items, if any, was each director or member of any board, committee, or other body of any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible excluded from or absent for since 27 November 2023, broken down by organisation, role, whether the director or member was subject to a conflict of interest management plan, the number of items excluded because of a conflict of interest, the number missed for other reasons, and the total number of items the person was present for as a proportion of all agenda items considered during their tenure, as at 10 June 2026?

Hon Mark Mitchell: Corrected reply: I am advised that Corrections has interpreted the member’s question as referring to any board or committee within Corrections which is remunerated in line with the Cabinet Fees Framework. Corrections has several boards and committees within scope of the member’s question. I am advised that to review every agenda item of each of these boards and committees since 27 November 2023 to determine the number of items each chair or member was excluded from because of a conflict of interest, the number of items they missed for other reasons, and the total number of items each person was present for as a proportion of all agenda items would require substantial collation and manual analysis, which I am not prepared to ask of officials for the purpose of this response. However, I am also advised that no chair or member of a Corrections’ committee has been subject to a conflict-of-interest management plan within the timeframe specified by the member. I am further advised that most Corrections boards and committees have declarations of interest as a standing agenda item, and Corrections has processes and policies in place to deal with any unplanned conflicts of interest which may arise.
