27990 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Children: How many people, if any, appointed or reappointed by the Minister since 27 November 2023 to any board, committee, or other body of any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible have had a conflict of interest management plan put in place, broken down by organisation, role, the number of interests identified as giving rise to a conflict, and the date the plan was put in place, as at 10 June 2026?
Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that, as at 10 June 2026, the six members of the Ministerial Advisory Board have 49 registered possible conflict of interests with their role. The Conflict-of-Interest register is reviewed monthly at board meetings and is updated if there are any changes. The Board Secretariat is responsible for monitoring this register against the Board work programme to ensure Board members do not inappropriately participate in discussions where they have a potential conflict of interest. I am further advised that, as at 10 June 2026, the 26 Grievance Panel members across nine operational grievance panels have four registered conflicts of interest. These are maintained by the National Grievance Panel Coordinator. The approach taken to managing conflicts of interest for all grievance panels follows Oranga Tamariki and Public Service Commission guidelines.
