27965 (2026). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Education: How much, if anything, has the Ministry of Education budgeted for the work of Dandolopartners and Martin Jenkins on providing initial advice for a review of Teacher Education Qualification Standards?

Hon Erica Stanford: The Ministry of Education has allocated funding for this work for 2025/26 through its existing budget for policy advice and system improvement activity. The RFP outlined the budget range of $250,000-$300,000 for this phase. The specific value of the contracts is commercially sensitive and is not being released at this time. This work represents an early phase of the wider review of initial teacher education programme requirements and is focused on informing future advice to the Secretary for Education and decisions on the direction of the review.
