Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister for the Prevention of Family and Sexual Violence: What direction, if any, has she given Te Puna Aonui regarding the work to build enduring Māori-Crown relationships to enable Māori to partner and lead in the transformation of family violence and sexual violence prevention?

Hon Karen Chhour: I have directed Te Puna Aonui to deliver the second Action Plan (2025-2030) in support of Te Aorerekura – National Strategy for Elimination. This is available online: tepunaaonui.govt.nz/assets/uploads/second-te-aorerekura-action-plan.pdf I refer the Member to pages 6-7 which outline my direction and undertakings to improve outcomes for Māori. Te Puna Aonui is currently working with iwi-based providers to strengthen multi-agency responses to family violence.
