Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister of Conservation: What progress, if any, has been made on marine reserve proposals and marine protected areas in the North Island that are not part of the Hauraki Gulf marine protection reforms, including for each proposal its location, current status, and expected next steps?

Hon Tama Potaka: I received advice from the Department of Conservation on the Hākaimangō-Matiatia Marine Reserve application which I am considering. The proposed marine reserve is in the northwest of Waiheke Island.
