27843 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Trade: How many vacant positions have been removed, if any, in each of the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Todd McClay: For MFAT, I refer the Member to the Minister of Foreign Affairs response to WPQ 27591 (2024). For New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, I am advised that following a consultation process, final decisions are still in progress and have not yet been communicated. The proposed changes under consultation outline a reduction in 28 positions, eight of which are currently vacant.
