Camilla Belich to the Minister for Land Information: What is the total additional annual cost, if any, of all board fee increases approved by the Minister since 27 November 2023 across any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible, broken down by organisation and year, as at 8 June 2026?

Mike Butterick: On 22 May 2026, I approved fee increases for members of the three boards I am responsible for: Valuers Registration Board (VRB), Cadastral Surveyors Licensing Board and Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa New Zealand Geographic Board (NZGB). The estimated additional annual cost for the increase to fees for NZGB members is $8,130.50. Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) does not hold the requested information regarding the Valuers Registration Board or Cadastral Surveyors Licensing Board. Fees for members of those boards are funded from professional licensing fees and are separately accounted for by those bodies.
