27817 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for Regulation: Who was on the interview panel for the Chief Economist of the Ministry for Regulation appointment?

Hon David Seymour: Officials advise that candidates were interviewed by the Ministry for Regulation's Deputy Chief Executive Policy an an external panelist, former Chief Economist at Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. Shortlisted candidates were progressed to a second interview with the Ministry for Regulation Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive Policy, and another external panelist, Director of Capital Economics Limited.
