27776 (2025). Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister of Finance: Can the Minister quantify the potential fiscal obligations, if any, identified for the Crown related to pay equity settlements in the funded sector?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Government has no obligation to fund the outcome of pay equity settlements for private sector employers who receive government funding. Any contribution from the Government to future non-government pay equity settlements will be managed within baselines or against future operating allowances.
