Tamatha Paul to the Associate Minister of Housing: How many, if any, of the transitional housing places funded in 2025/26 are general transitional housing, youth transitional housing, emergency housing transitional housing, or motel transitional housing, and how does that compare with the previous year?

Hon Tama Potaka: The number of places vary throughout the financial year. An overview of contracted transitional housing places is published monthly on the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development’s Housing Dashboard: www.hud.govt.nz/stats-and-insights/the-government-housing-dashboard/transitional-housing#tabset. A total of $365.174 million has been allocated to the Transitional Housing portfolio for 25/26.
