Hon David Seymour: I refer the Member to the attached table showing the number of Early Childhood Education (ECE) Centres open in New Zealand as at 28 May 2025, broken down by region. The data is based on timely and accurate information provided to the Ministry of Education. ECE centres include the following services: • Casual-Education and Care • Education and Care Services • Free Kindergarten • Homebased Network • Hospital based • Playcenter • Te Kohanga Reo. This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 27706, 27709 and 27710 (2025).
