Lan Pham to the Minister responsible for RMA Reform: Following Reply 19718 (2026), why was Environmental Law Initiative not invited to the briefing Natural Environment and Planning Bills when they were introduced to Parliament in December 2025, while other eNGOs like Forest & Bird and the Environmental Defence Society were?

Hon Chris Bishop: The Ministry for the Environment does not currently have regular individual engagement with the Environmental Law Initiative, but does regularly meet with Forest & Bird and the Environmental Defence Society. The invitee list was based on current relationships held by the Ministry.
