27500 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Customs: How many vacant positions have been removed, if any, in each of the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that as at 30 May 2024, the New Zealand Customs Service (Customs) had not disestablished any vacant positions. However, Customs will disestablish 41 vacant positions as part of Customs’ organisational change programme, which was finalised and announced, after proper consultation, on May 20, 2024.
