Camilla Belich to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What board fees, if any, are currently paid to the chair and to each member of every board, committee, or other body of any agency, department, Crown entity, company, or other organisation for which the Minister is responsible, broken down by organisation, role, and annual fee, as at 8 June 2026?
Hon Brooke van Velden: Department of Internal Affairs Gambling Commission - $700 per day for Commissioners and $1,100 per day for the Chief Commissioner. Lottery Grants Board – members are paid $389 per day Library and Information Advisory Committee - $ 330 for member $440 for chair Lottery Distribution Committees: Lottery Health Research Committee - Daily rate of $292 for members and $389 for presiding members. Other committees - Daily rate of $232 for members and $313 for presiding members. Archives Council - Daily rate of $315 for members and $420 for the Chair Guardians Kaitiaki of Alexander Turnbull Library - Daily fee of $330.00 for the members and $440.00 for the Chair.  Additional information for the Office Calculating the annual fee for each role within each committee is an administratively complex process and we recommend the following text - As per Speaker’s Ruling 199/6, I do not consider it to be in the public interest to undertake an exercise to identify and collate the material requested, as it will require a significant diversion of resources. Additional information for the office: The remuneration for the Film and Video Labelling Body Community Representatives is paid by the Labelling Body and is funded by fees.
