27422 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Agriculture: How many voluntary redundancy processes have been initiated, if any, in each of the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies as at 30 May 2024?

Hon Todd McClay: The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) completed consultation with staff on change proposals and final decisions were released to staff on 16 May 2024. From 1 July 2024 there will be a reduction of 391 positions at MPI. MPI is currently working through the change process with staff, which includes the option of voluntary redundancy for affected staff.
